Recent Projects
Some of Wedeco's recent projects include:
Manukua NZ.
The largest UV Disinfection plant in the world - capacity 14,000 litres/second - has just been put into service at this site in suburban Auckland, New Zealand. Wedeco System was chosen after extensive side by side evaluation against a number of other supplier’s systems.
12 disinfection channels are part of this new plant, containing almost 8,000 Wedeco SPEKTROTHERM lamps to reduce faecal coliforms to one ten thousandth of the biologically treated water flowing to the UV disinfection units.
The disinfection process is automatically managed to achieve maximum destruction of pathogens at minimum cost. Fewer operators are needed but their jobs are much more interesting, power costs are the lowest and the quality of the equipment reduces the cost of maintenance and the need for replacement parts.
Cronulla Australia
A similar plant, with a capacity of 5,000 litres/second commenced operation at this Sydney suburb.
Immediately after these plants came into operation, improvements in the quality of water at the local beaches were obvious.
